Schedule & Pay for CNC Machinist - 1st Shift
- 1st shift: 4-10's Monday - Thursday from 6am-4pm
- Overtime readily available; occasional Fridays as production requires
- Pay: $24.00 to $32.00 per hour DOE + potential shift differential

What You Will Do as CNC Machinist - 1st Shift
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to hold tight tolerances (to 0.0005 in).
- Load programs, set tools and work offsets, verify first article, and run production.
- Read blueprints and GD&T; verify dimensions with micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM support.
- Perform in-process inspections, record results, and adjust offsets as needed.
- Change tooling, replace inserts, and perform basic program edits in G-code/Fanuc.
- Work from travelers, routers, and AS9100-compliant work instructions.
- Maintain 5S, safety, and preventive maintenance standards.
- Communicate issues, suggest improvements, and support continuous improvement.
Must-Haves for CNC Machinist - 1st Shift
- 2+ years CNC machining on mills or lathes in a precision environment.
- Able to perform setups, set offsets, and run production with minimal supervision.
- Blueprint reading and GD&T basics; use of micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges.
- Basic G-code understanding; Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak experience.
- Reliable attendance for 2nd shift; authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
Nice-to-Haves for CNC Machinist - 1st Shift
- Aerospace machining experience; AS9100 or ISO 9001 environment.
- Experience with 4th axis, live tooling, or multi-axis lathes.
- Mastercam or similar CAM exposure; SPC or FAIR knowledge.
- NIMS credential, OSHA 10, forklift or overhead crane experience.
- ITAR U.S. person status (citizen or permanent resident).
Equipment & Tools for CNC Machinist - 1st Shift
- CNC mills and lathes (Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar) with Fanuc/Haas controls.
- Inspection tools: micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, pin gauges.
- Tool presetters, edge finders, indicators; CMM support.
