This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Machinist located in Sioux Falls, SD. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery, conducting milling operations, and ensuring quality control throughout the production process. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machines, performing precision machining operations, and inspecting parts for accuracy and consistency. The CNC Machinist will also collaborate with the programming team and follow safety and quality protocols to maintain a high standard of performance.
Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.
Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
Able to set up machines effectively
Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Qualifications/Skills/Education
Postsecondary Training/Trade Certificate for CNC Machinist or experience equal to
Proficient in Machine Operation, Machining, and Milling
Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques and tools
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety and commitment to quality
Able to set up machines efficiently.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
Comfort with interpreting blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents
