CNC Machinist
Overview

Key Responsibilities
Perform CNC machining operations on lathes, grinders, and/or Swiss machines
Set up jobs independently (typically limited setups, not constant changeovers)
Make G & M code edits as required
Read and interpret detailed, high-precision blueprints
Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other measuring tools
Maintain extremely tight tolerances and strict quality standards
Work in a clean, climate-controlled, high-accountability production environment
Communicate effectively with leadership and peers; ask questions and proactively problem-solve
What This Role Does Not Require
No CNC programming responsibilities
No complex daily multi-setup changes
No expectation to manage machine controls beyond necessary edits
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
CNC Lathe
Grinding
Swiss machining (highly valued)
Strong inspection and measurement skills
Proven ability to hold very tight tolerances
Solid blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
High sense of accountability and pride in workmanship
Preferred Background
Aerospace or other precision machining environments
Shops focused on tight-tolerance, highly engineered components
