    CNC Machinist

    Overview

    Our client is a high-precision machining and contract manufacturing operation serving mission-critical industries where accuracy, consistency, and craftsmanship matter.     Key Responsibilities

    • Perform CNC machining operations on lathes, grinders, and/or Swiss machines

    • Set up jobs independently (typically limited setups, not constant changeovers)

    • Make G & M code edits as required

    • Read and interpret detailed, high-precision blueprints

    • Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other measuring tools

    • Maintain extremely tight tolerances and strict quality standards

    • Work in a clean, climate-controlled, high-accountability production environment

    • Communicate effectively with leadership and peers; ask questions and proactively problem-solve

    What This Role Does Not Require

    • No CNC programming responsibilities

    • No complex daily multi-setup changes

    • No expectation to manage machine controls beyond necessary edits

    Required Experience & Skills

    • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following:

      • CNC Lathe

      • Grinding

      • Swiss machining (highly valued)

    • Strong inspection and measurement skills

    • Proven ability to hold very tight tolerances

    • Solid blueprint reading and interpretation skills

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

    • High sense of accountability and pride in workmanship

    Preferred Background

    • Aerospace or other precision machining environments

    • Shops focused on tight-tolerance, highly engineered components
