    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Post-edit programming and set-up of CNC to conduct new program/revised program verification and fine-tune to optimum machine performance.

    2. Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and dial calipers, to ensure finished parts meet requirements.

    3. Run machines to produce parts to tight tolerances by setting up and operating a variety of machines such as lathes, milling lathes, CNC lathes, CNC mills, and grinders.

    4. Deburr parts by hand.

    5. Complete preventative maintenance on machines, including lubrication, checking levels, making routine and minor adjustments.

    6. Keep tools clean and operating properly (i.e. Dynafile, band saw, mill, etc.). Maintain tool lists & inventories, order new tools when required.

    7. Keep work area clean and tidy.

    8. Assist other employees in setup, share best practices, and training.

    9. Assist in continuous improvement initiatives of existing and continuous parts.

    10. Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Production Manager and/or Operations Manager.

    11. Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.

    12. Maintain knowledge of industry processes and tool information.

    Job Requirements:

    1. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident (green card) required (sponsorship is not available with this position).

    2. Minimum high school GED required. Vocational schooling preferred; Associates degree in Machining, specifically CNC Programming highly desired.

    3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience of CNC Operation and Set-Up on 3, 4, and 5-axis machines required. Experience with Mazatrol, G code, MasterCam, Haas mills, and Mori Seiki lathes is highly desired.

    4. Previous experience working in the aerospace industry is highly desired. Prefer experience programming, selecting tools, and calculating speeds, feeds, depth of cut, and coolant flow.

    5. Minimum of 5 years’ experience reading detailed blueprints, including GD&T and working with micrometers, calipers, and other precision detail tools.

    6. Must be detail oriented.

    7. Must be a self-starter and driven.

    8. Must have outstanding attendance and punctuality.

    9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    10. Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.

    11. Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products (Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required.

    12. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
