    Job Description:

    Valar Atomics is seeking an all around experienced and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join its precision manufacturing team in Hawthorne, California. This role is suited for a candidate with proven expertise in operating and maintaining CNC Machines, with a strong understanding of multi-axis machining, tooling strategies, and part inspection. The successful candidate will contribute to the production of complex components that meet rigorous quality and dimensional standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Program, set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling machines, including 3-axis and multi-axis vertical and Live Tooling Lathe

    • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to accurately manufacture precision components.

    • Configure tools, fixtures, offsets, feeds, and speeds to optimize machining efficiency and part quality.

    • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges, and dial indicators.

    • Identify and resolve machining issues promptly to reduce downtime and improve workflow reliability.

    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to review machining strategies and provide feedback on manufacturability and process improvements.

    • Maintain compliance with safety protocols and uphold a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience operating CNC milling equipment in a precision manufacturing environment
    • Demonstrated proficiency with machine setup, including fixture alignment, tool setting, and job sequencing
    • Solid understanding of material behavior and cutting techniques for metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium
    • Familiarity with G-code editing and CAM software, such as ESPRIT, Mastercam, or similar platforms
    • Ability to perform inspections and hold tight tolerances on complex geometries and critical dimensions
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
