- Set up CNC mills, including work holding, tooling selection, tool offsets, work offsets, and program loading.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to determine machining strategies and critical features.
- Run first-article parts, verify dimensions using appropriate measuring tools, and adjust programs/offsets to hold tolerances.
- Optimize feeds, speeds, and toolpaths to improve cycle time, tool life, and surface finish while protecting equipment.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, keep work area clean, and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Document setups, programs, and process notes to support repeatability and standard work.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality, and supervisors to resolve machining issues and continuously improve processes.
