Qualifications
Required Knowledge / Experience
- 5+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of programming experience.
- 3+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Intrapersonal Skills: Self‐motivated and able to identify, examine, and resolve issues independently from others. Hold a strong regard for guidelines, procedures and integrity.
- Engineering and Technology: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Complex Problem Solving: Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Design: Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Judgment and Decision Making: Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions in order to choose the most appropriate one.
- Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Computer and software, Accupress Press Brake and Trump Punch.
- Computers and Electronics: Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming such as Fabriwin, Trutops, Inventor, Auto CAD/CAM Software; knowledge of Microsoft Office Business Suite; knowledge of accounting software.
- Verbal & Written Communication Skills: This position requires intermediate skills (Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.)
- Math Skills: This position requires advanced skills (calculate measurements, proportions, area, lengths, etc.)
Education
- High School Diploma/GED required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
- FLSA executive and professional positions paid on a salary basis, where project requirements and tight client deadlines may require workweeks over forty (40) hours (including weekends or holidays)
- Employee must be at to sit, climb or balance, hear, use hands, taste/smell, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, talk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Conditions in manufacturing: can be high heat or cold, high humidity, exposure to electrical shock and mechanical parts, exposure to radiation, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals with fumes and/or airborne particles.
- Mobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
- Manual Dexterity: Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to twenty-five (25) pounds. All lifting should be done following OSHA standards.
- Visual and Auditory Requirements: Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant safely and communicate effectively with team members.
