Pay Rate: $27.00/hr-$36.00/hr (depending on experience)

Schedule: 1st shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:30am-4:00pm

Location: Talladega, AL 35160

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist for a hands-on role in a true job shop environment. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced machinist who thrives on variety and problem-solving. You will work with one-off customer parts, starting from blueprint and taking each job through complete setup, programming, and machining — all on your own. There is no production repetition, no fixtures or jigs, and no one else to hand the work off to.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC machines to produce one-off, blueprint-driven parts
• Interpret complex blueprints and specifications to create custom machined parts
• Complete full-cycle part production from setup to final inspection
• Independently manage workload and prioritize jobs based on customer timelines
• Ensure high standards of quality and precision in every part produced
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as needed

Qualifications:

• Proven experience programming and operating Mazak CNC equipment
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of machining principles and tooling
• Comfortable working independently without fixtures or jigs
• Job shop or one-off part machining experience strongly preferred
• High attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Must be dependable and self-motivated

This is not a repetitive production job. This is a maker's job.
