CNC Set Up Machinist – Your Job Duties

You will expertly set up and operate advanced multi-axis CNC machines (3, 4, and 5-axis), producing high-precision aerospace components. You will be responsible for interpreting complex designs, programming machines, and ensuring exacting quality standards.

• Read and interpret drawings, digital setup sheets, work instructions and tool lists
• Set up CNC machines by installing and aligning fixtures, tooling and attachments according to job requirements
• Load parts and run production cycles according to manufacturing priorities
• Make offset changes as needed
• Inspects parts to print throughout production
• Work with Programmers and Production Manager to move jobs and to move to newly assigned machines when necessary
• Utilize the ERP system to accurately record production data

CNC Set Up Machinist - Required Skills, Experience & Culture Fit

• Prior experience in a machine set up role
• Desire to lead by example, be a team player, and be willing and able to assist in areas outside of your department
• Attention to detail and desire to work with a high performing team focused on quality and efficiency

CNC Set Up Machinist – You Might Have

• Proficiency in ProShop ERP system for efficient data management
• Familiarity with HighQA Quality Management System
• Experience utilizing Datanomix machine monitoring system
• Prior experience as a Set Up Machinist on Matsuura equipment
  

CNC Set Up Machinist – Benefits for you

You will work out of our state-of-the-art Santa Ana, California, facility, with a team using the best CNC machining technologies.

Your compensation will be $30-$40 an hour, plus the potential to earn overtime for hours over 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. You can anticipate ~ 10 hours of overtime per week, on average.
