    CNC Swiss Machinist – Precision Manufacturing (2 Shifts)

    American Precision Tool & Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist to join its precision machining team. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC Swiss Turning Centers, along with performing first article inspections to ensure quality and adherence to production standards. Candidates should have a strong background in CNC operations, programming, and production troubleshooting.

    The CNC Swiss Machinist will be responsible for producing high-precision components using CNC Swiss machines, lathes, and mills. The ideal candidate brings at least five years of hands-on experience, a detail-focused mindset, and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the shop floor.

    Pay is based on experience

    Hiring for both Shifts. First Shift 6.30 am to 3.00 pm Monday to Friday, Saturdays and OT available. Second Shift 3.00 pm to 1.30 am Monday to Thursday, 4 10 hour days 40 hours a week, OT available.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program, set up, and operate CNC Swiss Turning Centers to machine complex parts

    Operate CNC lathes and milling equipment as needed

    Conduct first piece inspections to confirm accuracy and quality

    Collaborate in design and process reviews to support manufacturability

    Assist with troubleshooting during production to minimize downtime

    Communicate effectively with team members and engineers to coordinate efforts

    Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Minimum 5 years of experience working with CNC Swiss machines

    Strong knowledge of G-code programming and CNC operations

    Experience operating CNC lathes and mills

    Skilled in conducting and documenting first article inspections

    Strong problem-solving ability and mechanical aptitude

    Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset

    High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality

    Familiarity with standard safety protocols in a machine shop setting
