    Title: CNC Swiss Machinist

    Shift: First Shift | Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Overtime available on Fridays)

    Salary: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour (Flexible based on experience)

    CNC Swiss Machinist Role:

    This role exists to set up and operate Swiss-style CNC lathes to produce high-precision aircraft components and standard hardware for the aerospace industry. You will be responsible for ensuring the "money-maker" machines of the facility remain operational while maintaining strict quality standards.

    CNC Swiss Machinist Responsibilities:

    • Perform full machine setups for standard hardware including pins, studs, and eye bolts
    • Operate CNC Swiss machines with live tooling to meet production schedules
    • Generate or pull programs using BobCAD software and make necessary edits at the machine
    • Perform tool changes and mechanical offsets to maintain part specifications
    • Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and digital SPC systems
    • Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to ensure conformity to aerospace standards
    • Monitor machine performance and perform minor maintenance including fluid level checks
    • Document production data accurately using both digital keyboards and manual logs
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to capture institutional knowledge and mentor newer operators
    • Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with company housekeeping standards

    CNC Swiss Machinist Reporting Relationships:

    • This position reports directly to the Production Manager and the Director of Business Development. There are no direct reports for this role, though you may assist in training junior operators.

    About You:

    • Possess 3–5 years of experience in a CNC machine shop environment or equivalent trade school education
    • Demonstrate proficiency in setting up and operating Swiss-style lathes
    • Read and interpret technical drawings in standard inch scale up to four decimal places
    • Apply strong mathematical skills including algebra and geometry for part calculations
    • Utilize precision measuring tools such as Bluetooth calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
    • Show an aptitude for computer interaction and digital data entry
    • Exhibit a "quality-first" mindset with the ability to stop production when parts deviate from prints
    • Maintain reliable attendance for a 4/10 work schedule
    • Demonstrate the physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
    • Communicate effectively in English to follow safety rules and procedure manuals
