CNC Router & Edgebander Field Service Technician (Installer / Trainer / Repair)

    NewCNC, Holland, MI | Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts | Occasional U.S. and Canada travel

    About NewCNC

NewCNC supplies CNC machinery to woodworking and plastics shops across North America, with a strong focus on the custom cabinet industry. Our equipment lines include CNC routers, edgebanders, horizontal and vertical boring machines, and CNC panel saws. We sell the machine, and we also stand behind it with hands-on installation, training, and service. That’s where you come in.

    The Role

You’ll own the machine from our shop floor to the customer’s production floor. You’ll build and tune machines in-house, install them on site, teach operators how to run them, and keep them running when something goes wrong. If you like solving mechanical and electrical problems, working with your hands, and being the person customers count on, this job is for you.

    What You’ll Do

Assemble CNC routers, edgebanders, boring machines, and panel saws in our Holland facility

Run quality-control checks and tune machines for accuracy before they ship

Install and commission machines at customer locations

Train customers on safe operation, setup, and routine maintenance

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues, both in the field and over the phone

Document service work and share what you learn with the rest of the team

    What We’re Looking For

Strong troubleshooting skills. This is the most important part of the job.

Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools

Basic electrical knowledge: reading schematics, using a multimeter, and understanding motors, sensors, and control wiring

    Basic computer skills

Clear communication and a customer-first attitude

Willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S. and Canada

Valid driver’s license; passport (or ability to get one) for Canada and China trips

    Nice to Have

Experience with CNC routers, edgebanders, or other industrial woodworking equipment

Background in cabinet making, millwork, or panel processing

Familiarity with CNC controls, G-code, or CAD/CAM software

Experience with pneumatics, VFDs, servo drives, or PLCs

Field service or equipment installation experience

    Schedule

    Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts

Travel for installs and service calls
