  • Responsibilities

    CO Building Systems is seeking an Outside Salesperson to travel in target areas to visit current and former customers as well as seeking new customers. Visits focus on building trust, increasing quotes, identifying challenges/issues, forming bonds, developing strategies, and finding solutions to problems. Visits help to identify trends in the metal building and metal building component industry so CO Building Systems can continue to evolve and assist customers and build bonds of loyalty and service. Outside Salesperson will be responsible for working with prospective customers to ascertain customer needs and work to ensure those needs can be met by CO Building Systems’ products and services. Outside Salesperson will facilitate the flow of information to the sales and management teams.

    Salesperson duties include:

    • Generating new customer sales through cold calling, email, and other forms of contact
    • Managing relationships with current customers and clients
    • Presenting information and proposals to current and/or potential clients and customers
    • Completing monthly sales reports
    • Developing a goal-oriented sales action plan
    • Any other duties as assigned

    Applicants should possess the following:

    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • A positive attitude
    • 3-5 years of construction or sales experience is preferred
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Construction Sales, or Marketing is preferred
    • Understanding of basic construction
    • Basic math skills
    • Negotiation skills
    • Multi-tasking skills
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Google Calendar
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • The ability to present proposals in an effective manner
    • Clean driving record
    • Ability to travel throughout Utah and surrounding states (driving) 3 to 4 days a week, 2 weeks a month (target)
