JOB DESCRIPTION: AutoCAD Survey Technician

Coast 2 Coast is seeking Survey Technicians in all skill levels to document and compile comprehensive site survey data for national as-built architectural projects. This work hard, play hard opportunity allows you to travel 2-3 weeks measuring, laser scanning, photographing, and drawing existing buildings using AutoCAD for client survey reports then take a week off. Major responsibilities include adherence to a standard operating procedure, executing the scope of work, pro-active collaboration, and quality assurance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Capture Architectural Data on Location

• Travel across the country taking photos, 2D and 3D laser measurements of various hotels, retail sites, and facilities
• Document property conditions in 2D, and 3D floor plans and elevations using AutoCAD, and Revit
• Read and understand project protocol documents
• Collaborate with the processing team to ensure scope alignment and project quality
• Provide updates and communicate with project managers and survey teams during the project lifecycle

Construct Project Deliverables

• Support clients as they remodel or acquire new properties by capturing existing site conditions in alignment with client guidelines and scope of work
• Assemble well-crafted survey reports using excellent measurement, photography, and AutoCAD skills
• Demonstrate proven experience using collaboration platforms, apps, and a variety of software
• Responsibly utilize a variety of measurement tools, 3D terrestrial laser scanners, laptops, and cameras as well as smartphones and iPads
• Assist with a wide variety of projects by adapting to new scopes, standards, and software

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience with AutoCAD or computer-aided drafting software
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with team members
• Proactive and organized, the candidate effectively manages multiple concurrent projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting deadlines (including taking advantage of overtime opportunities)
• Participate in Coast 2 Coast’s learning culture by obtaining skills offered through mentorship and online courses  
• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license, willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening, as well as random screening during employment
