IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY FOR
SAT/ACT MATH INSTRUCTORS
Do you want to help make a positive impact on the lives of high school students? This could be your opportunity.
We are looking for outstanding math instructors to provide high quality SAT and ACT preparation and proctor practice exams to high school students in Irvine, CA. Each instructor will teach a group of students (maximum of 30) on 3 Saturday mornings or weekday evenings and have the opportunity to proctor practice exams on 2 additional Saturday mornings. ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION AND/OR PRIVATE TUTORING MAY ALSO BE AVAILABLE.

REQUIREMENTS
- MUST clear a U.S. Department of Justice and FBI background check (valid for 4 years through Long Beach Unified School District--no fee for applicants, instructions will be provided)
- MUST attend paid training session(s), date TBD
- MUST commit to all 3 days of instruction in each class series. Instructors may commit to multiple class series, if desired.
- MUST earn an acceptable score on a sample SAT/ACT test in your subject area.
- MUST pass our training program.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES
- Are organized, responsible, punctual, personable, and flexible
- Have experience teaching in a group environment (SAT or ACT teaching experience preferred)
- Have reliable transportation
- Have reliable internet connection and laptop or desktop computer (classes will take place online due to the pandemic via Zoom)
- Must demonstrate proficiency in subject area
- Must provide one academic reference in subject area and one personal reference with application
COMPENSATION
- $360 per class series (3 sessions)
- $120 per proctoring day
- Additional stipends for training session and essay scoring
