  • Responsibilities

    Performs somewhat complex to complex configuration and data management assignments, requiring use of applied concepts, principles, theories, practices, and techniques.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

    · Apply knowledge of the fundamentals of configuration management to establish and maintain consistency of a product’s performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information throughout its life.

    · Assist in the development and management of all CDRL requirements. Participates in Government reviews/meetings/working groups as applicable and in Government and industry teams for the resolution of complex configuration management issues.

    · Provide assistance in the preparation and maintenance of CDRLs for inclusion in weapon system contractor RFPs, contracts, and contract modifications.

    · Assist in reviewing and evaluating OEM proposals and reports for configuration status accounting of assigned systems/subsystem(s) and compliance with Government technical data requirements.

    · Provide support to the DR function operation of the Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS) or similar system for originating, to include assisting with receiving, processing and tracking DRs; establishing and maintaining DR/Material Improvement Project (MIP) files and databases; providing disposition instruction for exhibits; and assisting in the planning and conduct of MIP Review Board meetings.

    · Assist with establishing and maintaining databases and assist in the development and analysis of key program metrics. Develops and integrates risk management plans and strategies and support program briefings.

    · Assist in generating and managing configuration management, data management, and risk management processes and plans; support environmental assessments, support design reviews, TIMs, interface control meetings, program management reviews, audits and other technical reviews; and have thorough knowledge of DR procedures and processes.

    Required Experience

    One of the following combinations of education/experience:

    • * BA/BS degree or higher and 10 years of related experience, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.
      
      • HSD/GED, sixteen (16) years of related experience, (5) of which must be in the DoD
    • Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software packages
    • Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required
