Develops and applies interdisciplinary methods, algorithms, statistics, and research techniques in the development of data driven solutions to extract knowledge, provide insights, and present information from data in various structures and unstructured forms.

*Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential functions)

• Performs analysis of data systems, such as Big Data systems *
• May perform statistical analysis and provide input for reports and dashboards
• Involved with the development of data products, reports, and dashboards or other display techniques*
• Evaluates data, algorithms, and their interaction to improve algorithm performance*
• May apply advanced statistics, including natural language processing and machine learning to create solutions
• May assist in data modeling and data virtualization
• May write code to preprocess and clean data

Required Skills

Required Experience

• BS or higher degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or similar STEM discipline.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience.
• Current DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Demonstrable experience with advanced machine learning and data science techniques and mathematical approaches.

• Experience with algorithm development and data structures in common programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, MATLAB) and tools (e.g., Torch, TensorFlow, Ray, Gym, ect.).
• Experience with applications of Reinforcement Learning and Graph Neural Networks.
• Experience with Signal Processing.
• Experience working with SAR imagery.
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Due to facility DoD security requirements, candidates must possess U.S. Citizenship.
• **Must be willing and able to relocate to Huntsville , AL. **

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or higher degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or similar STEM discipline.
• Postgraduate Certification in Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning.
• Familiarity with standard engineering applications such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Star-CCM+.
• Applied Mathematics experience in areas such as Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, and Partial Differential Equations.
• Possess a deep understanding of the mathematical concepts behind Artificial Neural Networks, and know how to tailor activation functions, loss functions, and network layers, beyond the use of basic ML libraries.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• DOD Top Secret Clearance and Eligibility for SCI access preferred.
