Position Summary:
Directs and coordinates the activities of multi-craft crews engaged in repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of electric-power generating equipment to ensure effective and efficient operation of power plant.
Primary Duties:
- Supervises and leads activities of work crew engaged in repair and maintenance of electric-power generating equipment.
- Facilitates preventive maintenance planning as indicated by process standards, including assists scheduling inspections and major overhauls in coordination with other operating activities.
- Confers with equipment representatives to select and recommend new supplies and researching maintenance methods, technical papers, catalogs and other reference materials to improve operations.
- Promotes safety programs by means of safety meetings for crew to minimize accidents and ensure the safety of all personnel.
- Adheres to safe working practices, governmental regulations and company policies.
- Inspects contractorsâ?? work for compliance to specifications and initiates appropriate corrective action.
- Confers with contractors to resolve problems in installation and start-up of new equipment.
- Maintains records on auxiliary equipment to record various repairs, maintenance and clearance measurements to ensure a complete maintenance history of equipment through the Plant Maintenance Program.
- Confers with the planning group to analyze the Plant Maintenance Program to determine reliability, costs savings and work efficiency.
- Recommends training for all crew members in the proper operations and maintenance procedures associated with all process equipment.
- Establishes work schedule for personnel within area of responsibility.
- Continually seeks process improvement to save cost and increase efficiency.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years directly related experience (e.g., utility plant maintenance) with Two (2) years journey-level experience.
- Valid state Drivers License.

- Strong knowledge of maintenance operations including all disciplines of utility industry required crafts.
- Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing with members at all levels throughout the organization and outside professionals.
- Knowledge of plant operation, systems and equipment and their functionality within the process.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical abilities involving complex problems.
- Ability to work well with individuals at various levels throughout the organization.
- Ability to effectively use a personal computer with MS Office Suite and related applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP).
- Ability to accept responsibilities and accomplish new goals.
