General Summary
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Responsible for performing analysis on system problems *
- Responsible for working with system users to define problem areas, data availability, report requirements, etc. *
- Responsible for defining system objectives and for preparing system design specifications to meet user requirements *
- Responsible for analyzing various ways to derive input data in order to select the most appropriate process *
- Responsible for implementing system design specifications *
- May define input and output file specifications including file organization *
- May be responsible for defining controls, conversion procedures and system implementation plans
- May occasionally provide work leadership to lower level employees

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management of Information Systems, or the equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years related experience to include maintaining Linux environments
- Prior experience with Windows Server/Workstation
- 5 years of Shell scripting experience
- Experience with virtualization environments
- Working knowledge of desktop applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs) and other applicable systems and applications
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days of hire date
- Minimum of a DoD Secret clearance and pass DIA CI-Polygraph within 60 days of hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Work related experience with VMware, RHV, KVM
- Knowledge/Experience with InfiniBand, Ethernet
- Working knowledge of current high level computer languages C, C++, Perl, Python
- HPCS experience with Batch job schedulers and workload managers
- Current Security+ Certification
- Active DOD Top Secret clearance with DIA CI Polygraph
