General Summary
Performs complex technical support of Army Metering Program (AMP) networks to include planning, designing, evaluating, and troubleshooting Army Metering Program network connections.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
· Performs planning maintenance and upgrade of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems related to AMP.
· Monitors Army Metering Program network connectivity and ensures high quality data transmission.
· Analyzes AMP local and wide area network systems.
· Resolves complex interoperability problems to obtain operations across all AMP platforms.
· Participates in planning, researching, evaluating, designing, and developing plans for AMP network systems, support to Technical Review Board (TRB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, and coordination of site surveys related to AMP.
· Conducts internal studies and research.
· Supports acquisition of network hardware and software, as well as, subcontractor services as needed.
· Provides technical support to various departments and users.
· Serves as liaison with Network Enterprise Center (NEC), vendors, and other third-party providers.
