    COLSA Corporation is looking for a Senior Software Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Engineer passionate about software development to support the EESS contract. This Senior Software IV&V Engineer will support the prime development contractor software development through all phases of software development life cycle, including software requirement specifications, software design, software coding, and software testing.  

    The candidate will:

    • Develop, update, and execute software IV&V policies and procedures used by the IV&V team.
    • Support independent assessments through review, analysis, and evaluation of software development artifacts to ensure acceptability of product releases to industry standards and best practices.
    • Be detail oriented with consistent precision accuracy.

    COLSA Corporation is the prime contractor on the Engineering and Evaluation Support Services (EESS) contract and provides engineering and evaluation support services to the Systems Simulation Software and Integration (S3I) Directorate, Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command (USA RDECOM) and its customers for the following disciplines: Acquisition/Development Engineering, Software Verification and Validation(V&V), Interoperability Engineering and Testing, Software Quality Assurance (SQA), Configuration and Data Management (CADM), and associated support disciplines. The S3I customers include DoD components, other Government agencies, and Foreign Military Sales. S3I has system and software evaluation and independent engineering support responsibilities for several areas. Examples include Air and Ballistic Missile Defense, Fire Support, Close Combat, Aviation, Command, Control, Communications, and Interoperability, Intelligence/Surveillance, and Automatic Test Equipment.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or other related field or equivalent experience.

    • Minimum of eight years of applicable progressively complex software design engineering experience.

    • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

    • Demonstrated experience with software engineering disciplines, software integration, and verification and validation.

    • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to interact well in diverse team environments.

    • Must have knowledge of Agile Scrum Methodology

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master's degree in related engineering field such as software engineering.

    • Domain knowledge with command and control systems including Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Ground-Based Midcourse Defense System (GMD) or Command Control Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC).

    • Experience with either leading a software engineering team or developing a strategic plan for developing an engineering system/software product.

    • Knowledge of and familiarity with the IEEE 1012 Standard for Software Verification and Validation.

    • Experience with Agile Software Development using Scrum.

    • Experience with at least one of the following:

             * Evaluating PIDS, CIDS, SRS, and IRS requirements against System Specification requirements to ensure testability and traceability.

    • History of test verification experience a plus!!!
