  • Responsibilities

    General Summary Provides moderately complex technical support in areas such as research, design, development, testing, and installation. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

    • Responsible for providing moderately complex technical support to assigned areas, such as research, design, development, testing or installation process improvement *

    • Provides hardware support to systems *

    • Responsible for testing, troubleshooting and repairing moderately complex problems *

    • Responsible for installation and maintenance of computer and/or security systems, including upgrades *

    • May be responsible for assisting others, including customers, in using special equipment which may be somewhat complex in nature *

    • May give recommendations for solutions to problems

    • May assist in engineering testing and/or experimental testing

    • May assist in research work

    • May prepare and generate written and/or oral reports on a regular basis

    • May maintain configuration of lab computers to specifications set by lead engineer, test lead and system administrator

    • May maintain inventory

    • May coordinate property transfers

    • May perform some purchasing, shipping and receiving

    • May assist in lab inspections

    Required Skills Required Experience

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Two years of electronics training from technical trade school or military technical school or two years of computer training as applicable to the job

    • Minimum of three years of related work experience

    • Prior test experience

    • Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs

    • Ability to qualify for Security clearance at the SECRET level; U.S. Citizenship required

    • Ability to work as part of a team

    • Ability to travel if required

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Understanding of personal computers and operating systems (Windows 10)

    • Ability to troubleshoot hardware (board level only) and software issues

    * One year of experience in testing and operations of Military C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence3) systems to include Tactical Data Links (TDL), preferably Link 16 or experience with Data Link Test Tool (DLTT) family of TDL tool applications.
