  • Responsibilities

    Conduct OIE analysis, planning and targeting support to augment designated commands during training, exercises, and deployments and operations in support of deployed teams, MAGTFs, and other organizations as needed. Provide doctrinal planning and input for Regional Support Teams (RST). Planning skills must be adaptable to any GCC or to support Regional Support Teams. Lead OPT’s to develop OPLANs, CONPLANS and appendices. Able to liaison with DoD, Joint, Service, Service Component, Other Government Agencies (OGAs) and Coalition stakeholders to provide advice, opinions, and recommendations to support deployed MAGTFs and other formations. Provide instruction and input for internal exercises, to include the Command's IWX, both in a classroom and field environment. In addition, craft injects into the Master Scenario Events List (MSEL). Draft policies to be implemented by Marine Corps in support of the RST mission, create staff regulations, SOPs for working groups, and business rules for conferences. Coordinate support for ongoing, planned, and projected operations and external exercises and for requests, including from the FMF. Provide responsive and comprehensive regional reach-back support to deployed OIE Detachments and Expeditionary PSYOP Teams (EPT); collecting lessons-learned, to include facilitating writing and/or editing reports for submission to the Marine Corps Center for Lessons-Learned (MCCLL); writing After-Action Reports; and developing and submitting ad-hoc reports. Deconflict tasks, actions, activities, and priorities in coordination with operations and in support of Marine Corps mission.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    One of the following combinations of education/experience:

    * Bachelor's degree or higher and 8 years of related experience
    * High School degree and 16 years related experience 
    
    • Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software packages
    • Must be broadly educated in doctrinal military planning processes (MDMP, JOPP and the MCPP).
    • Experience coordinating support requests from the FMF per Operations Officer policy.
    • Experience allocating resources for current requirements while determining how best to participate in exercises and position the MAGTF OIE elements for potential and projected operations.
    • Experience writing After Action Reports from wide-ranging operations and exercises to make broad contributions to MCCLL submissions ensuring that all salient points are captured that can drive doctrinal improvements, equipment requirements and education improvements.
    • TS/SCI DoD Security clearance; US Citizenship required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's degree preferred
    • MAGTF OIE Planners Course, Staff OIE Planners Course, Joint Information Operations Planners Course (Joint IO Planning Certification, Joint MILDEC Certification, Joint OPSEC Certification).
    • Graduate from a Service Staff college.
    • Advanced Planners Courses (SAMS / SAW / SASS / JAWS).
    • Mastery of MCDP 1-Warfighting, MCDP 5- Planning, and MCDP 8, Information
    • Experience writing After Action Reports from wide-ranging operations and exercises to make broad contributions to MCCLL submissions ensuring that all salient points are captured that can drive doctrinal improvements, equipment requirements and education improvements.
