COLSA is seeking an organized and analytical Farsi Media Analyst. The incumbent will serve as a Farsi Media Analyst to a Combatant Command J39 Operations division providing target audience analysis of foreign language, web, social media, and consumer generated media sites. This position is in Tampa, FL, MacDill AFB. THIS MAY ALSO REQUIRE SHIFT AND WEEKEND WORK AS WELL AS CONUS AND OCONUS TRAVEL.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide target audience analysis of foreign language web, social media, and consumer-generated media sites
Prepares a variety of weekly and monthly products based on the analysis of Farsi open-source media and social networking sites
Utilizes software to conduct statistical and associational analyses of events, activities, and groups based on specified requirements and parameters
Work as part of a team to map social networks to determine the resonance of various messages, changes in sentiment over time, and the propagation of news and information
Conduct client-approved activities across a variety of social media venues
Provides support to CCMD J39 through various tasks, including ad-hoc research and information papers

Required Skills Required Experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 8 years of analytical/media experience to include 5 years working or living within the USCENTCOM AOR
Native-level proficiency in Farsi; must be able to score a ILR 3+ or higher on language testing
Excellent skills with Farsi and social media platforms related to the Farsi language
Active Secret clearance; U.S Citizenship required
Understand the basics of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
Previous experience with US Military forces
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Power Point, Excel, and Word
Ability to identify cultural nuances on social media
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Served with US Forces in some Farsi linguistics capacity
Currently supporting activity in the USCENTCOM AOR
