General Summary
Candidate will perform a wide range of engineering and logistical duties on site under direct supervision by the COLSA TStorm Production/Supply Chain Lead. Duties will be performed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Threat Systems Management Office/COLSA TStorm Contract.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Candidate may be required to assist with a wide range of duties in the areas of design and production as they relate to constructing small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS)
- Candidate may be required to provide periodic data reduction, analysis, and reporting
- Candidate must be capable of working individually or as part of a team and be able to track tasks to completion
- Candidate will be required to provide logistical and technical support to senior personnel

Required Skills
Required Experience
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Currently a junior or senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Must be willing and able to relocate to Huntsville, AL at his/her own expense for duration of internship
- Working knowledge of PC-based MS Office Productivity suite of applications Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and be able to share content between these applications.
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within aerospace and mechanical engineering
- US Citizenship required; ability to pass a criminal background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience assembling drones or other stabilization equipment
- Prior experience using MATLAB
- Experience using Python and Solid Edge
- Prior experience using CAD systems
- Prior experience maintaining and installing hardware
