  • Responsibilities

    General Summary Responsible for performing and assisting in system analysis and design activities for a Windows / Linux IT infrastructure

    • Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

    • Responsible for performing analysis on system problems *

    • Provide assistance in resolving basic technology support issues *

    • Administer Windows or Linux servers utilized for a variety of functions *

    • Answers basic questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of assigned products based on previous experience and knowledge *

    • Design and develop one or more courses of action, evaluating each of these courses in a test case environment, and implementing the best solution to the problem *

    • Solve issues in accordance with government standards, policies, and quality control guidelines *

    • Responsible for working with system users to define problem areas, data availability, report requirements, etc. *

    • Responsible for defining system objectives and for preparing system design specifications to meet user requirements *

    • Responsible for analyzing various ways to derive input data in order to select the most appropriate process *

    • Responsible for implementing system design specifications *

    • May define input and output file specifications including file organization *

    • May be responsible for defining controls, conversion procedures and system implementation plans

    • May occasionally provide work leadership to lower level employees

    • May interface with vendors and/or make recommendations on business applications, equipment, etc

    Required Skills Required Experience

     REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field

    • Minimum of 2-5 years work related experience

    • Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs

    • US Citizenship Required; Active Secret Clearance required

    • Active Security+ CE certification

    • Windows 10 certification AND either a Linux+ or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification prior to starting.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    * Linux+ certification

    • Windows 10 certification

    • ACAS experience
