Seeking a construction superintendent that possesses the versatility to manage all aspects of a construction site from start to finish. Successful candidates will have the diversity and capacity to work with subcontractors to deliver high quality construction projects on time and on budget in a fast pace environment.
Our construction project team works together with architects, engineers, construction project managers, and subcontractors to deliver a wide array of high quality commercial construction projects. The Construction Superintendent handles all aspects of on-site project duties, procedures and functions, including but not limited to:
Responsibilities
Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work and maintaining a safe and clean project site.
Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
Maintain daily log (written) of job site activities.
Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work with subcontractors.
Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling.
Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
Qualifications
5+ years of management experience in the construction industry and knowledge of construction building methods and practices.
Provide direction to and resolve problems amongst various subcontractors and vendors.
Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.
Blueprint reading.
Physically lift up to 100 lbs.
Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures. · Monitoring jobsite general health and safety.
