  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    The Automotive and Equipment Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for the reliability and performance of our landscaping equipment and vehicles, including maintaining and repairing various company trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment.

    Key Responsibilities

    · Troubleshoot equipment accurately and repair breakdowns quickly to maintain operating efficiency.

    · Including but not limited to:

        * Commercial Zero-Turn Mowers, Blowers, String Trimmers, Edgers, Hedge Trimmers, Track Loaders, and Spray Application Machinery.
    

    · Perform oil changes, air filter changes, belt replacements, and inspect all equipment safety devices.

    · Perform job site equipment repairs.

    · Part pickup from vendors

    · Assist in maintaining service records for all equipment

    · Maintain and organize parts as needed

    · Assure that all parts go through company inventory.

    · Maintain Shop area, yard, and building

    · Communicate with managers internally to ensure crews have the proper equipment to perform the tasks.

    · Ensure OSHA and other regulations are followed for all equipment

    Requirements

    • Proven abilities in a wide range of technical skills in repairing automobiles
    • Proven abilities in a wide range of technical skills in repairing all landscaping and construction equipment with 4-cycle engines, 2-cycle engines, and other small engines

    · Positive attitude, professional behavior, and ambition.

    · Attention to detail and organization skills

    · Ability to work well in teams, self-starter.

    · Work effectively with minimal supervision.

    · Physically, emotionally, and professionally capable.

    · General writing ability with knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

    · Computer skills must be sufficient to communicate, document, and occasionally research techniques and activities.

    · Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
