    Help us deliver what’s next in outdoor living by growing brand visibility, awareness and product pull-through in the pro channel. This entry-level position is situated within the Trex marketing department, and offers valuable marketing experience for a leading national brand.

     

    As our next Channel Marketing Field Associate, you have strong analytical and communication skills, and you are comfortable working independently in a results-oriented environment. Associates are responsible for activating and implementing best-in-class merchandising and local marketing activities with current and potential channel partners to maximize Trex sales and drive market share growth within their designated territory.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Establish a communication and collaboration cadence with current pro-channel accounts to help maintain and manage the day-to-day local marketing and merchandising efforts.
    • Conduct regular in-store merchandising activities such as display organization and placement, planogramming, display/signage maintenance and clean up.
    • Ensure a consistent brand experience, provide complete merchandising service ensuring our channel partners’ locations are customer-ready.
    • Maximize Trex product sell-through by properly merchandising point-of-purchase and in-store materials as developed by the Trex corporate brand and the local distributor partner.
    • Maintain regular contact with assigned channel customers, cultivate strong relationships that add value to the collective businesses.
    • Perform best-in-class service and support to pro channel customers, while demonstrating knowledge and enthusiasm for Trex products.
    • Observe, document and share knowledge of local landscape including competitive activities and changes in merchandising and marketing programs.
    • Support and assist in planning and executing demo events, store walk-throughs and product knowledge sessions as needed alongside the local sales teams.
    • Provide guidance and implementation support for local digital marketing initiatives.
    • Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, as the role will interact with cross-functional teams.
    • Have strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Deliver solutions that are creative and practical, taking advantage of market opportunities.
    • Be able to motivate and work closely with our business partners.
    • Analyze market data and research; and develop plans that leverage key findings and opportunities.

    • Must be able to work in the showroom/display areas of area local building products locations and lumberyards. Must be willing and able to work occurs both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to transport product and merchandising materials using personal vehicle.
    • Must be able to lift, carry and move merchandising and display components up to 75 lbs. Standing, walking, stooping, bending and squatting will be a regular part of the job in order to effectively set and support merchandising and displays. Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time, due to driving distances to customer locations.

    Required Skills

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field with one-to-three years’ business experience. A proven track record of success is preferred. 
    • Working knowledge of marketing fundamentals, including consumer behaviors and key communication drivers.
    • Must have strong ability to achieve results through others and excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently within your region while serving as an extension of the overall team.
    • Outstanding organization skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
    • Experience in developing strategic marketing plans to achieve specific business objectives and company goals.
    • Must have the ability and willingness to travel 50 percent of the time or more, typically by car, with some overnight travel.
