ABOUT THE TEAM AND ROLE:

We are seeking an outgoing, team player to join Compass Mining as a Logistics Coordinator. In this role, you will work with our mining operations team to ensure efficiency and organization of logistical operations, deployment and shipping. You will be accountable for managing shipments, keeping track of BOL's and POD's, and deployments. You will be expected to learn the basics of bitcoin mining and embrace the Compass Mining culture. This position reports to the Director of Mining Operations. 

THIS POSITION IS MAINLY REMOTE, WITH ABOUT 20% OF TRAVELING REQUIRED FOR WAREHOUSE AND SITE AUDITS*

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the shipments to and from our facilities.
• Track shipments using asset management tools.
• Track and keep thorough records off all BOL's (bill of lading) and proof of deliveries.
• Review shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Track all shipment costs and expenses.
• Work with Site Management and Mining Ops Technicians to understand facility inventory needs.
• Organize labor and logistics for pick/pack, deployment and deinstallation of mining equipment.
• Work with the Mining Ops Service Center to arrange shipping for parts and repairs.
• Set and track key performance indicators for our vendors to ensure their performance meets our expectations.
• Help to develop new processes and tools to make our supply chain more organized and efficient.
• Availability to travel up to 20% for warehouse and site audits.
• After hours and weekend availability may be needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business (preferred).
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (G-Suite) and Microsoft Office programs.
• 5+ years previous experience in logistics management or coordination.
• BILINGUAL IN ENGLISH/CHINESE IS A HUGE PLUS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Working knowledge of computer hardware and cargo management software preferred.
• Great interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the bitcoin / cryptocurrency mining industry is strongly preferred.
