    Overall operations manager of a portable batch plant division. This operations manager will be tasked with managing the operations that are associated with safe, efficient, and productive operations of all the portable batch plants in our fleet (currently 2 plants with 3rd coming Q1 of 2024) This role is responsible for managing the logistics, production, vendor relations for tiered suppliers. This operations manager will develop and manage teams to operate these portable plants around the country especially in areas where we need ready mix help the most. The teams include batching superintends, operators, drivers, mechanics, QA/QC. This division will adhere to the company DOT program and policies and get support from that group.

     

    This role will be responsible for obtaining the necessary permits on the various projects that utilize the portable batch plant division. This group may also utilize our procurement group in order to gain an edge with the large national vendors for raw materials. Developing and maintaining relationships in the readymix vendor industry will be vital to the success of this division. Also, this role/division may engage in our Restoration division as well as it relates to our mobile mixer operations. The Operations manager will be cognizant of the company Branding that is essential to our business. The Operations manager will also embrace our company Safety and Quality cultures and use those as a catalyst to produce a safe and quality product so that we can continue to grow as an industry giant.

     

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Provide a Safe working environment and uphold the safety culture and core values
    • Customer Service (lifeline of this operation)
    • Maintain client relationships (CS, Clayco, etc) and be effective at resolving disputes
    • Promote organization and structure to allow for accountability
    • Travel to different batch plant locations to ensure proper set up and execution by the project teams
    • Manage, Embrace and promote the DOT compliance efforts
    • Uphold and promote the preventative maintenance initiative
    • Promote the CS Brand on our equipment and maintain standards
    • Creative thinking to be as efficient as possible
    • Maintain relationships with key vendors
    • Maintain efficient and profitable regional operations.
    • Constant communication with the Operations groups in order to understand how we can improve as a team
    • Plan, establish, grow, and manage all assets within the division

    Education/Experience/Attributes/Requirements

    • 5+ Years of Experience
    • General knowledge of construction equipment
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
    • Proficient at leading a successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships
    • Maintain a positive culture
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.
    • 5 years management experience
    • Networking
    • 3-5 years Experience in managing multiple plants and trucks.
    • Mechanically inclined
    • Can set up and tear down plant site
