    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Provide customer service, quality assurance, and technical support for the Office of the Registrar.
    2. Assist with a broad range of technical and administrative tasks, including but not limited to: processing requests and responding to inquiries by email, phone and in-person. Work requires knowledge of College policies, procedures and systems in use in the department.
    3. Data entry of new and revised courses and student registrations.
    4. Answer student, faculty, staff, and alumni queries pertaining to college policies, particularly regarding records and registration.
    5. Conduct end-user testing of various office systems.
    6. Enter, maintain and validate the accuracy of historical and contemporary academic data.
    7. Troubleshoot technical issues.
    8. Perform other duties to assist with new system implementation, as needed.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    The individual must possess knowledge, skills and ability to be able to successfully perform the essential functions of the position or be able to explain or demonstrate how the essential functions will be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

    1. Attention to detail, focus on accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
    2. Advanced computer skills, including a familiarity with a variety of software packages and basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office). Demonstrated comfort with technology. Interest and ability to learn and use new programs and technologies.
    3. Demonstrated interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
    4. Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and ask for help when needed.
    5. Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of College policies, procedures and systems in use in the department.
    6. Ability to use discretion in working with sensitive, confidential information and materials.
    7. Ability to work with diverse groups of students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
    8. Personal integrity and ability to interact successfully with various constituencies on campus.
    9. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the Registrar’s Office as well as independently. Desire to be a team member on collaborative projects and implementation of new initiatives.

    11. Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    12. Must have access to reliable and secure computer and internet connection. Must maintain password protection for work files and records and ensure that no one else has access to password and login credentials at remote work site.
    13. Must have access to a dedicated and suitable workstation at remote location, including desk or table and supporting, upright chair. Must ensure workstation is safe and free from hazards.
