    Our growing company is seeking a Quality Control Manager to work out of our corporate location in Columbia, SC. The construction quality control manager’s responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of implementation of the quality control program, including but not limited to, Quality Control Organization, Quality Control Meetings, Phases of Control, Submittal Review and Approval.

    Desired Candidate will have demonstrated background experience with USACE 3 PHASES QUALITY CONTROL

    Phase 1- Preparatory Phase

    · Assess the current situation

    · Inspect the jobsite

    · Review the findings with staff, subcontractors, and the client

    Phase 2- Initial Phase

    · Check that all requirements for personnel, materials, and equipment are in place

    · Verify that the site has passed its jog-ready inspection

    · Inspect the first article (after work begins) to make sure that it is appropriate to continue work

    Phase 3- Follow-up Phase

    · Monitor work daily to assure that all job requirements are being met in a timely manner

    · Verify that the tasks of Definable Feature of Work (DFOW) are being performed correctly up until their completion

    Responsibilities include:

    · Responsible for project coordination and documentation, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with the quality control program.

    · Manage QC & Safety team

    · Perform daily documented inspection to verify safety, quality, material, installation, workmanship, technical compliance

    · Identify, document, track & correct issues affecting quality& safety

    · Develop, implement & maintain QC & safety procedures, programs, plans, report forms, records, and document control system

    · Provide daily field support of quality, technical performance of subcontractors on design

    · Interpret design documents daily reports, test & inspection reports, submittal register, RFI log, safety log, man hours and equipment hours, OSHA Safety & Environmental records

    Education and Certifications:

    Bachelor's degree, or 5 years’ experience in similar projects.

    Professional certifications related to Quality Control

    QCM Certification

    CPR and First Aide Certification

    Required Skills:

    · Must have previous working experience in federal, military installation and facilities-related program management, supervisory experience in public works or base operations a plus

    · Familiarity with quality standards and processes to follow federal, state and local regulations

    · Knowledge of the product to perform accurate quality control

    · Attention to detail, Interpersonal skills, good communication skills

    · 30hour OSHA
