Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Regularly make in-person sales calls to assigned customers. These calls can be informal, or they can be project or product specific based around the needs of the customer.
· Support contractors by developing technically innovative product solutions into sales opportunities for both retrofits and new projects.
· Prepare accurate quotations, change request, submittals and send to customers and/or engineers/architects
· Follow-up on outstanding quotations to determine what contractors were successful on targeted projects and pursue the sale of those project when an assigned customer is the successful contractor.
· Place orders with factories and warehouses as directed by customers to meet the project schedule.
· Offer post-sale support to customers to include order tracking, installation instructions, and procuring individual items as needed to complete the project.
· Attend industry events/training, travel, and entertain.
· Person to person marketing and networking
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; High School degree is required
· 2+ years of HVAC related experience is preferred
· Outgoing personality with experience in sales and working with customers
· The ability to effectively interface with sales, contractors and engineers.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
· Technical understanding and experience with HVAC technologies is considered ideal.
· Capable of working independently
· Ability to work effectively in a rapid pace work environment.
· Ability to understand and apply business considerations to project support.
· Ability to travel domestically
SUMMARY
We are the premier manufacturers’ representative for HVAC products with offices in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami and West Palm Beach. We are offering an excellent career opportunity to join our team as an entry-level Outside Salesperson.
This position will be responsible for servicing specific HVAC contractors by providing quotes, preparing submittals, placing orders and offering general product support. Candidates must be outgoing and personable, have a professional attitude and appearance, be extremely organized, speak fluent English (Spanish is a plus) and be proficient in Microsoft Office suite while having the ability to learn our ERP program. Must be comfortable meeting face-to-face with customers, entertaining customers (lunches, entertainment, etc.), taking phone calls from customers and factory representatives, and multitasking. Time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks is essential. Previous HVAC industry experience is preferred.
This is a commission-based job opportunity where our average rep is making 100k-200k a year.
