About the Role:
Hands Plus Physical Therapy is looking for a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team in Santa Clarita, CA! Responsibilities:
Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
Provide direct patient care focused on improving daily living skills, fine motor function, and upper extremity rehabilitation
Document patient progress, treatment notes, and goal updates accurately and in a timely manner
Collaborate with the OT and interdisciplinary team to adjust and progress patient care plans
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive strategies
Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming therapy environment
Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and clinic initiatives
Requirements:
Active COTA licensure in the state of California (or eligibility to obtain)
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current NBCOT certification in good standing
Experience in an outpatient orthopedic or hand therapy setting is a plus
Strong documentation and communication skills
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented clinic environment
Minimum 2 years' experience
