    Job Description

    CP is seeking three MID TO SENIOR LEVEL BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERS WITH 5+ YEARS OF INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE working on combination products that involve metal, plastic, glass, etc. Successful candidates will work on cross-functional teams throughout the development process within our client's Research and Development Department. Performs or oversees biomedical/mechanical engineering, design, and development work. Develops design concepts and ideas for new products and product improvements. Develops prototypes of design concepts for engineering testing and evaluation. Reviews/approves SOPs test protocols, laboratory research reports and provides laboratory oversight as needed. Performs human factors (usability studies), market assessment, or pre-clinical research. Responsible for adhering to design controls and documenting all product development work in a Design History File.

    • Advanced engineering for pre-hospital emergency care products; Conceptual design of new drug delivery systems or product enhancements.
    • Develop design inputs with associated justification for new product development.
    • Develop engineering prototypes of design concepts.
    • Injection molding component analysis and qualification.
    • Lead risk analysis activities.
    • Develop project plans and budgets.
    • Approve test protocols and reports.
    • Conduct research.
    • Write research papers.
    • Oversee design and technical transfer to manufacturing.

    This is a temporary engagement expected to last 12 months or longer that has the potential to turn into full time employment at our client.

    Due to the nature of the work candidates MUST SHOW ACCEPTABLE PROOF OF U.S. CITIZENSHIP  and U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident Status

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • (Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred)

    • B.S. in Engineering w/ 12+ yrs exp

    • M.S. in Engineering w/ 9+ yrs exp

    • Ph.D. in Engineering w/ 7+ yrs exp

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Conceptual design skills and experience with a variety of manufacturing methods (e.g. injection molding, machining, etc.)
    • Human factors and usability engineering
    • Proficiency in design software (preferably Solidworks) and other general computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.
    • Strong laboratory skills such as component inspection or failure analysis, mechanical testing, etc.
    • Strong mathematical, analytical, and reasoning skills
    • Strong innovation and research skills
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Other required skills include technical proficiency, demonstrated timely project execution, effective collaboration with other colleagues and independent thought.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project are required.
    • Primavera system experience helpful.
    • Must show acceptable proof of identification and successfully complete a drug & background check
    • candidates MUST SHOW ACCEPTABLE PROOF OF U.S. CITIZENSHIP  and U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident Status
