We are an accounting and consulting firm specializing in helping small to midsized businesses succeed. We do bookkeeping, controller services, taxes, tax planning, and business advisory services. We are looking for a Client Controller to join our team. You will be responsible for high-level client accounting and advice, overseeing the work of bookkeeping staff for your clients. So that we can continue to provide outstanding service to our clients, a skills test is required so ONLY HIGHLY QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS NEED APPLY.

Responsibilities:

• Work with our small business clients and speak their language
• Examine bookkeeping records and prepare reports through financial statements
• Oversee work of bookkeepers, ensuring adherence to accounting standards
• Create new processes to improve operational efficiency
• File sales tax reports in multiple jurisdictions
• Handle or oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Journal Entries

Qualifications:

• Ability to work cooperatively and productively with teammates
• Experienced Controller with deep knowledge working with SMBs
• Self-starter who can figure things out, develop processes, understand how all the parts work together
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, COGS, Inventory
• CPA or CMA License
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Excel
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Sales Tax Experience, especially across multiple states
