IH McNeill III PC is looking for a talented CPA or Staff Accountant to join their team in Pelham, AL! Responsibilities:

Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, and entities

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial statements

Assist clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting needs

Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support client decision-making

Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and accounting standards

Collaborate with team members to manage client accounts and deadlines efficiently

Support audit preparation and respond to tax notices as needed

Requirements:

CPA license or working toward CPA certification preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

1+ years of public accounting or staff accounting experience

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms

Strong knowledge of tax preparation, GAAP, and financial reporting

Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines
