    POSITION SUMMARY:  The Sales Executive, Federal Sales will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and will be responsible for selling CPG's full suite of services to Government customers.  They will be responsible for obtaining new prospects, building pipelines, selling, interacting with new and existing customers, nurturing relationships and otherwise charged with increasing sales of the Company's services to government contractors and agencies.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Participates in evaluating strategies to grow the government project pipeline.
    • Execute sales pursuits, participates in contract negotiation, defines deliverables and support for general agreement assumptions.
    • Build and leverage federal and contractor relationships to promote and support the Government Division.
    • Point of contact for primary contractor and government leadership.
    • Quarterback and manage RFP process and resulting bids.
    • Prioritizes all program deliverables defined in government contracts, including audits, reports SOWs, budgets and milestones.
    • Collaborates with internal departments to ensure supporting tasks are completed and aligned with overall program deliverables.
    • Works with teaming partners to ensure they are performing contracted tasks completely and on time.
    • Analyzes and manages program changes and risks to ensure organizational and program goals are achieved.
    • Responsible for accurate funnel management, ensuring all Opportunities are properly captured in NetSuite to reflect correct Expected Close Dates, Stages, and other essential information.
    • Minimal travel – 10%

    QUALIFICATIONS:  

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • At least 5 years or related experience
    • Outside sales experience, preferably within the data center space, with record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
    • Must demonstrate general understanding of Data Center Facility equipment operation, and how various “systems” within the facility work together as a whole.
    • Desired candidate should have experience working in live construction environments.
    • Excellent Oral Communication Skills.
    • Self-starter, internally motivated and someone that once given a task can follow it through to completion without a great deal of oversight.
    • Team oriented; able to collaborate within sales team as well as operations and finance teams to solve problems and drive solutions.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop rapport with individuals.
    • Proven track record of crafting and closing complex multi-faceted deals.
    • Experience in funnel management and understand the industry sales cycle, timing, probability of close.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft office or similar software

    • No certificates or licenses required

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • No supervisory responsibilities currently but with expected growth could add additional subordinates. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
