POSITION SUMMARY : A DC Power Technician is responsible for startups, certifications, preventative maintenance, and scheduled maintenance for battery systems related to Uninterruptable Power Supply systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Experienced and able to perform battery replacements and new installations.
Experienced and able to perform preventative maintenance, trouble diagnosis, routine and emergency repairs of all types of battery systems without supervision and with minimal disruption to customer.
Perform battery cabinet change outs, load bank testing, flooded cell system installations, spill containment system installations, lead multiple string and discipline projects.
Install, trouble diagnose, repair, start-up, and commission, all types of battery monitoring systems.
Ability to lead jobs with multiple crew members of various skill levels.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with general contractors, sub-contractors, partners, and clients to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
Without supervision properly operate all equipment including but not limited to:
Have excellent written and oral communication skills with co-workers, sales teams, engineering partners, management teams, and clients.
Be able to accurately assess human power requirements for maintenance and installation services.
Be able to estimate consumables and connectivity parts for project completion.
Be able to recognize when crew productivity and safety are jeopardized due to duration of efforts or extreme conditions service crew members are being exposed to.
Exercise leadership and good judgement resulting in healthy, harmonious, productive, and, happy team performance.
Exhibit characteristics that foster great team moral, and spirit of co-operation on job sites and operations center.
Show ability to balance multiple needs and challenges from a multitude of directions.
Be able to teach learned skills, techniques, strategies, and methods to the next generation.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
