  • Responsibilities

    Responsible for the maintenance, repairs and improvement of all equipment, buildings and grounds in a high speed, high volume manufacturing facility, the installation of all equipment which may be required, and for managing and developing the maintenance team. The plant is located in the Los Angeles County area near City of Industry, California. 

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering or related discipline
    • 5+ years’ experience of industrial maintenance experience in a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with Cooling Towers & Chiller Systems
    • Experience leading plant Capital Projects
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and customer needs.
    • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to communicate both verbally and written quickly and effectively with all members of the shift and management. Must be capable of managing and training all shift personnel on an on-going basis.

    Responsibilities:

    • Fully involved with local management team. Provides technical input, solutions and options on improving productivity/efficiencies and product quality for all product lines
    • Develop, execute and monitor plant’s annual capital expenditure projects
    • Establish priorities for the maintenance function/department that ensures the effective utilization of available resources
    • Recommends and may implement programs to eliminate identified problems, to improve labor utilization, upgrade facilities, and reduce costs
    • Directly supervises the Facility Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, and Electrical/ IT team and indirectly supervises Maintenance Managers insuring a motivated, skilled workforce. Assesses skills and recommends or provides training to ensure department personnel are technically competent to maintain equipment in use at the facility
    • Maintains current layout of buildings and grounds indicating location of all pipes, electrical service, drainage and other utility services
    • Responsible for energy savings initiatives including SCADA implementation and management of the system
    • Responsible for compliance with applicable Federal, State and local safety and health, environmental, building and fire ordinances and standards, including but not limited to lockout, haz-com, machine guarding and waste disposal. Is an active participant in the local safety program
    • Responsible for plant utilities maintenance including but not limited to energy, water treatment and control, compressed air systems, and buildings and grounds
    • Responsible for plant energy team initiatives, projects, and participation
    • Responsible for implementation and sustainability of 5S/6S/visual management programs
    • May be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, or irregular hours to complete projects or to support plant production
