    The Global Sr. Vice-President Product Management is responsible for the overall Product Management function for services driving the strategic investment and growth strategy for a $2B global business. Key responsibilities also include leadership and oversight for the Modernization business, and Aftermarket parts business. Key oversight for the development of New Product Introductions, and strategies and programs responsive to external and customer environment, and participation in cross-functional business initiatives to deliver best in class support for our customers. This would include developing new business models, service frameworks and building and supporting an inorganic growth strategy.

    Essential Responsibilities

    As the SVP Global Product Management, you will:

    • Be accountable for overall global growth strategy development for Aftermarket and Modernization programs
    • Own profit and loss responsibility (i.e. orders, sales, margin, cash) for the
      business including Aftermarket parts, Modernizations, and New Product Introductions.
    • Drive new product management excellence and rigor (i.e. Quality / Cycle / Cost / Productivity) and leverage key productivity tools in lean and quality to deliver process excellence
    • Provide full scope of leadership for a global team of ~60+ employees, including performance evaluation, annual assessment, salary planning, and employee development and engagement
    • Drive organizational and functional effectiveness to achieve business goals and develop employees
    • Create a workplace environment & culture which enables the business to attract new, qualified talent to the organization
    • Develop the next level of Product Management leadership
    • Drive strong partnership with Commercial/Sales to develop the long-term growth strategy for your customers, both transactional and contractual and drive deal development, long term strategic partnerships, and deal closure
    • Assist with short and long-term business planning (i.e. Op Plan, STRAP)
    • Manage customer relationships at multiple levels of their organization, providing regional
      leadership presence
    • Lead strong partnership and collaboration cross functionally with Supply Chain, Engineering, Reliability/Quality teams to understand and plan for both short- and long-term forecast, resource needs, and assist with plan for adequate resourcing
    • Own margin review input / output, integrated forecasting, with Risk, Sales, Commercial as appropriate
    • Responsible for backlog, forecasting, pipeline and weekly financial tracker updates for
      financials
    • Understand trends and drivers, and effectively communicate risks, opportunities, changes, and key gap closure activities

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business, science, engineering, technology or related discipline
    • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of Engineering or Business experience servicing Transportation Equipment, Commercial Aviation, Rail, Automotive, Truck, Shipping or other heavy freight services
    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Product Management including working with all aspects related to product commercialization
    • Minimum of 5 years of Executive level management experience with direct reports including building and leading complex and large professional teams Global in scope

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Legally authorized to work in the United States
    • Must be willing to work out of HQ office located in a major Midwest Metro area
    • Must be willing to travel 30%+ of the time

    Desired Characteristics

    • Strong business, and financial acumen and commercial savvy
    • Profit & Loss (P&L) leadership experience, with short and long-term business planning
    • Experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships with strong customer service mindset
    • Prior Field Services or Contractual Services experience
    • Ability to interface and influence all levels of the customers organization, as well as other functions
    • Demonstrated leadership experience – strategic problem solving, strategy development and conflict resolution
    • Effective track record and experience working across functional teams
    • Prior Executive level Commercial/ Product Management experience
