  • Responsibilities

    The Sr. HR Manager will support dairy food and beverage manufacturing operations in City of Industry, California. You will build strategic organizational capability across the business and collaborate with plant business leaders and HR COEs to support and lead site labor & employee relations, recruitment, talent management, culture, and the facilitation of various HR programs. You will report into a HR Director with a strong dotted line to the Plant Director and will function as the point-of-contact for all plant associates and leaders. The City of Industry plant is a union facility comprised of approximately 320 team members.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field, required. Master’s degree and/or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certifications is preferred.
    • 8 + years of progressively responsible HR experience supporting diverse client groups, and at least 5 years within a manufacturing / industrial / supply chain environment, required.
    • 7+ years of UNION Labor Relations experience within a manufacturing / industrial / supply chain environment is required.
    • FMLA experience
    • California Labor Law experience and California Disabilities (ADA) concerning accommodations for the plant
    • Employee Relations with strong investigations and the ability to diffuse and deescalate employee issues
    • Willing to be on the plant floor engaging employees
    • Computer and social media proficiency especially in MS Office products (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Canva and Instagram. Prior experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a plus.
    • Experience successfully leading, coaching, developing, and building a high-performing HR team of direct reports.
    • Demonstrated ability building and leveraging strong relationships while influencing, persuading, and inspiring diverse teams.
    • Possess professional agility, the ability to deal with ambiguity, and adaptability in a fast-changing business environment.
    • Highly qualified in managing medical leaves, interactive process meetings and return to work programs.
    • Lead with respect, confidence, and managerial courage in challenging environments.
    • Partner with plant leadership to develop and execute long-term strategic plan and vision for the plant.
    • Possess broad HR knowledge with a working knowledge and understanding of HR principles, policies, processes, and technology.
    • Demonstrated ability to build quantifiable metrics, while analyzing and interpreting data.
    • Manage complex employee relations & labor relations matters, including investigations, and ethics complaints.
    • Provide support and coaching to mitigate risk for the company and ensure employee rights.
    • A commitment to continuous improvement, developing best practices, driving for results, and finding solutions.
    • Maintain a flexible schedule including the ability to work off-hours and/or weekends as needed.
