    We are seeking a Vice President of Operations to join our team and drive the growth of our international pillar in the Maintenance of Way rail industry. As VP Operations, you will have the exciting opportunity to develop and optimize systems, processes, and tools to triple our business within the next five years. We are looking for a proven leader with experience in multi-plant management, particularly in high mix/low volume heavy machining industrial manufacturing. If you have a background in the Maintenance of Way industry, strong customer knowledge, and a track record of developing and grooming teams, we want to hear from you.

    Responsibilities:

    • Take complete P/L responsibility for all operations across multiple business units.
    • Lead multiple high mix/low volume manufacturing sites and drive expansion through mergers and acquisitions.
    • Develop and execute an operations strategy focusing on Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs, Quality, On-Time Delivery, Innovation, and Cost.
    • Foster a customer-centric culture and create realistic plans to achieve goals while adapting to changing circumstances.
    • Implement effective communication and execution control mechanisms.
    • Optimize inventory and develop sourcing and fulfillment strategies.
    • Identify cost-effective alternatives for suppliers globally without compromising quality and delivery objectives.
    • Cultivate a positive work culture and promote safety and environmental compliance.
    • Stay updated on customer needs, market trends, competition, and technology advancements.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, simplify work processes, and maximize productivity.
    • Attract top talent, develop team members, and guide their career growth.
    • Develop financial and operational metrics to monitor and communicate the health of the business.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Master's degree preferred).
    • 10+ years of supply chain operations leadership experience in low volume/high mix manufacturing.
    • 10+ years Rail Maintenance of Way manufacturing experience
    • Strong knowledge of Class 1 Rail Companies
    • Multi-plant and International experience in Rail Maintenance of Way
    • Strong background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Experience managing union environments is a plus.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate across teams.
    • Customer-oriented mindset and commitment to exceptional service.
    • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
