Director Supply Chain Procurement in Dallas, TX in the business of manufacturing and supplying unique USDA pork and beef premium dried pet food ingredients together with extracting feed stocks from biomass for the renewable fuel industry. Patented process transforming sourced raw materials from either USDA inspected pork and beef harvesting or further processing facilities of large CPG companies.The plants are FSMA compliant utilizing HARPC principles and inspected under GFSI guidelines. The company has facilities in North America (US & Mexico) using primarily stainless-steel equipment and building a new plant in Dallas, Texas. Company startup and plant startup experience desired.  USDA procurement experience required with knowledge of the TX market.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Preferred MBA, CPM/CPSM Certification, PMP, LEAN
• Direct leadership of developing sourcing and cost reduction plans for direct commodities (raw ingredients ie. meat, pork, beef, protein, biomass, fats, oils, plants) and indirect categories (Capital, MRO, IFM, Real Estate, Energy)
• Strong manufacturing background in procurement and strategic sourcing.
• Lean Manufacturing processes and tools.
• Managing, leading and developing a team of direct reports.
• Knowledge of HACCP, USDA or other food or ingredients safety and quality program principles
• Strong inventory management.
• Proven experience building relationships with Suppliers improving processes through scorecards and other tools.
• Plant Startup Experience preferred
• ERP/MRP system management and execution.
• Outsourcing of non-core products and processes.
• Management of multiple sites, leveraging, and consolidating the supply chain.
