    The Quality & Food Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring that nutritional medical grade food has in place end to end quality systems and processes to deliver sustainably products and services that meet the daily quality and food safety needs and expectations of patients, customers and stakeholders. This position is located North of the Washington DC area in Maryland.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Develop, implement and manage a Quality Strategy and Quality Management.
    • Support 3rd parties and subcontracted activities to implement and drive a Quality Management System.
    • Strengthen the Quality organization and drive the quality ambition, particularly "Right first time" across channel business units, site plants and 3rd parties, establishing a quality mind set at all levels of the organization.
    • Draft & drive Training activities that lead to product and service improvement via personnel motivation and awareness.
    • Actively participate in the quality network and contribute for best practice sharing and continuous improvement.
    • Implement, monitor and drive consumer and customer feedback management systems in order to highlight deviations, and enhance improvements.
    • Lead and develop a team of 2-3 direct reports

      Targeted profile Required
    • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
    • 5+ years of experience in Quality Food Safety.
    • 5+ years of experience in setting up/maintaining a Quality Management System.
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical subject (for example food chemistry, food technology, biology, engineering or chemistry).
    • Experience managing and developing a team of direct reports.
