To help us drive excellence, as a Prototype Leader you’ll get to:

• Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.
• Design and construct templates and fixtures.
• Set up and operates machine tools associated with fabricating shops such as radial drill press, end mill, and edge planer.
• Read blue prints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications per GD&T.
• Perform activities of Journeyman and other associates in department.
• Perform all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
• Promotes teamwork and shows a willingness to work with other departments.
• Punctual and regular attendance is required.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.

This full-time role is a part of our Prototype Department and reports to the Prototype Supervisor

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
• Previous machine shop experience
• Supervisory experience necessary
• Ability to operate machining tools
• Able to MIG, TIG and spot weld
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

** Preferred Additional Skills & Abilities:**

Ability to work with the following tools or machinery:

• Micrometers
• Calipers
• Scales
• Crane
• Hilo

Education and/or Experience:

· High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); three to five years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
