A CPM Scheduler/Project Controls Specialist at PE Services is responsible for supporting project planning, scheduling, and controls functions on large-scale infrastructure and vertical construction projects. This role involves developing, updating, and analyzing CPM schedules, preparing progress reports, and assisting in the evaluation of project performance to support timely and cost-effective delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain baseline and updated Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules using software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors to gather input for schedule development and updates.
- Perform detailed schedule analysis, including critical path identification, total float analysis, and schedule variance reporting.
- Support progress tracking earned value analysis, and productivity measurement.
- Assist in preparing Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) to evaluate the impact of changes and delays on project completion dates.
- Generate weekly/monthly project reports and dashboards summarizing key schedule metrics.
- Participate in project meetings to present scheduling data and support decision-making.
- Assist in developing and maintaining cost control tools and reports, including budget tracking and forecasting.
- Coordinate with the cost and document control teams to ensure consistency and alignment across all project controls functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or construction management, including at least 2 years directly working with CPM schedules.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing, means and methods, and project delivery methods.
- Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and construction cost control processes.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with field and management personnel.
- Experience with infrastructure or transportation projects (e.g., DOT, public works) is preferred.
Annual salary is $94,000-$120,000 depending on experience.
