    Northwest Florida Ear, Nose and Throat (www.NWFENT.com)is in need of an Audiology Technician, OTO-Tech, CPOP

    Position Summary:

    The Audiology Technician CPOP will play a vital role in supporting our team of 1 ENT Physician, 2 Physician Assistants, and 1 Nurse Practitioner. The CPOP will be responsible for conducting a variety of audiologic tests to assess hearing and ear health during regular office hours. This role involves working with patients of all ages in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, highly organized, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Patient Care Support:

    Conduct diagnostic hearing tests for patients in a high-volume ENT clinic office setting

    Navigate clinic processes.

    Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

    Technical Assistance:

    Assist Audiologist with diagnostic audiologic testing, including setting up equipment and preparing test rooms.

    Sanitize and maintain audiological equipment.

    Responsibilities may include:

    Manage and track hearing aid inventory and repairs.

    Assemble hearing aid devices upon receipt from the manufacturer

    Perform basic hearing aid checks and minor repairs.

    Administrative Duties:

    Accurately document patient interactions, testing, and other related services in electronic health records (EHR).

    Perform other administrative tasks to support clinic operations.

    Future duties may include:

    Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and phone calls related to patient care.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    High School Diploma or equivalent.

    Completion & Valid CPOP (Certification Program for Otolaryngology Personnel)

    Proficiency in using computers and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

    Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.

    Preferred:

    Experience with specific audiological equipment or software

    Bilingual in English and Spanish, hearing medical terminology

    Certification as an Audiology Assistant or Medical Assistant

    Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in audiology, is preferred but not required

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

    Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

    Manual dexterity for handling small instruments and equipment.

    Good vision and hearing (corrected, if necessary).
