    THE MANAGER OF RISK MANAGEMENT (MRM) WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPORTING THE DIRECTOR OF SAFETY AND RISK MANAGEMENT IN DEVELOPING AND MANAGING OF A WORLD-CLASS, INDUSTRY-LEADING, COMPANY-WIDE RISK MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR CR&R INCORPORATED’S ENVIRONMENTAL AND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES. THEY WILL ASSIST IN DEVELOPING AND OVERSEEING ALL EFFORTS, PROGRAMS, AND INITIATIVES IN RISK MANAGEMENT TO ENSURE A SAFE WORKPLACE FOR ALL OF OUR EMPLOYEES.  

    THE MRM WILL BE AN ADVOCATE FOR THE REDUCTION OF RISK ACROSS ALL OPERATIONS AND, IN CONCERT WITH ALL LEADERS AND EMPLOYEES, AND PROMOTE A SAFE, PRODUCTIVE, AND RISK-ADVERSE WORK CULTURE THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF RISK MANAGEMENT BEST-PRACTICES AND ACCOUNTABILITY.  

    THE MRM WILL STRIVE TO CONTINUALLY IMPROVE OUR ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT STRATEGY THAT PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE RISK IDENTIFICATION AND ASSESSMENT TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT MITIGATION AND AVOIDANCE PRACTICES. THEY WILL HAVE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DAILY MANAGEMENT OF WORKERS’ COMPENSATION, COMMERCIAL AUTO AND GENERAL LIABILITY CLAIMS, AND PROACTIVELY RESOLVING THEM EXPEDITIOUSLY. THE MRM IS ROLE IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPORTING THE DIRECTOR OF SAFETY AND RISK MANAGEMENT IN THE REVIEW, SELECTION, AND NEGOTIATION OF INSURANCE PRODUCTS.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

     

    ·         Extensive knowledge of workers’ compensation, commercial auto and general liability insurance and claims management.

    ·         Experience with developing and implementing policies related to risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

    ·         10 years’ experience as a Risk Manager in a privately held organization of 3,000+ employees.

    ·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    ·         Strong math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

    ·         Database use and management experience.

    ·         Exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills.

    ·         Reliable and thorough with a deep commitment to accuracy.

    ·         Bi-lingual English/Spanish, preferred.

    ·         Self-motivated and able to work independently.

    DEGREES / CERTIFICATIONS

    ·         Bachelor degree (Masters preferred) in Enterprise Risk Management, or related degree.

    ·         Certified Workers’ Compensation Professional (CWCP), designation.
